Weather update sent to the Uto ni Yalo from the Suva Office:
METVU is showing variable winds today with some big squalls between 24 and 26 South. Monday is showing strong Easterlies from 24 South to 35 South with very variable winds either side of that.
Looks like yesterday you averaged under 6 knots so you really need to try go faster to the south. Bear off to the West if need be because there is no wind behind you and Gaualofa is stuck in this band right now to the East of you.
Wednesday and Thursday is not looking good when you get close to the North Island. It looks like you will have to motor the last few hundred miles unless you can get South faster in the next few days.
